Does your dog run out the door? Run after squirrels? Deer? Leaves? Learn how to motivate your dog to return to you. It’s a process and one of the hardest skills to teach your dog but with patience and practice you and your pooch can be successful.
Please do not bring dogs to this session. If you have a travel chair to bring, please do so. If possible, please bring anyone in the household who is working with your dog so everyone is consistent.
This session will be hosted by JoAnna Sidote of Connecting Spirits, LLC. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Ohio University with a biology major and psychology minor for animal behavior. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and a Mentor Trainer in the Animal Behavior College training program. JoAnna has trained and shown dogs since 1992, including a Miniature Poodle and a Doberman Pinscher. Since 1997 she has used clicker training, a positive-based training method. Using clicker training, she has had the honor of working with many species including but not limited to dogs, horses, cats, alpacas, goats, wolves, coyote, fox and squirrels.
JoAnna has competed over the past 20 years with 5 different dogs of different breads in agility, conformation, obedience, rally obedience, canine good citizenship, and therapy dogs. JoAnna’s passion is to help others achieve that special connection with the animals in their lives.
