We offer cats and kittens available for adoption throughout most of the year with kitten seasons being the busiest times. We accept cats into the program from a variety of sources. We are a very small program and are unable to assist every kitten/cat who needs a home.

The Athens County Humane Society has a program to assist individuals seeking to find homes for found or owned cats. Please remember they are very busy and may not be able to assist as quickly as you would like. Be patient and visit our resources page to help you find homes on your own.

Current Adoptable Cats/Kittens

Thank you for visiting our adoption program page. Please note that adoptions may take a week or so to be finalized. Our volunteer fosters are just like you and have busy lives. We do our very best to get these kitties great homes as quickly as life allows, thank you in advance for understanding.

***We currently are in need of a foster or two. If you are interested in fostering please email us at friendlypawspets@gmail.com.***

CHIMNEY

Chimney is so handsome an so sweet. Look at those green eyes! He came out of a dumpster at the West Side Dog Park looking for help - and he found it. He is being fostered so is used to the indoor life and having no troubles adjusting - he is safe and confident. Looking for a pal to play and snuggle, Chimney is your guy!

We believe he is about 6 months old - he is long and lean and may end up being quite large. He does great at the shop and comes about two days a week to meet adopters, give us a call to find out when 740.593.5125. Chimney is fully vetted, tested and treated for pests - his adoption fee is $100.

Please keep in mind that cats can live to be 20  years old - make sure you are ready for the commitment and have a plan for them if something were to happen to you.  Family often does not follow through, make sure to have a discussion with them.

Angelica & Harry

This duo is 5 months old (in Sept) and they are going to be HUGE cats. They are currently at Friendly Paws during all open hours. Angelica is a beautiful silver/gray tabby with floofy ears and Harry’s eyes match his sandy orange coat. Angelica is very outgoing and begs for attention. Our little Harry is a bit more timid and is still coming around, he is quite attached to his sister. They sleep together and groom each other. They will make a wonderful pair of house lions for some lucky person/s.

Both are fully vetted and we need to get this duo in a home so they don’t grow up in a cage. Adoption fee is $250 for the pair and available through the Athens County Humane Society.

Please keep in mind that cats can live to be 20  years old - make sure you are ready for the commitment and have a plan for them if something were to happen to you.  Fill out the adoption application at the button above.
